Having discovered in my early teens that I could hold a note, I went on to complete 3 years full time training at The London Studio Centre, where I gained my diploma in Musical Theatre Performance. On graduation I embarked on a career that took me all over the world. My first engagement was in Pantomime in Blackburn, shortly followed by playing Belle, in Beauty and the Beast on National Tour.

I had always had a love of singing other styles of music and decided to try my hand at the music scene. For several years I enjoyed residency contracts in Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, at hotels such as Sheraton, Hilton, Golden Tulip and The Park Hotel. This is where I really started to learn my craft, singing 6 nights a week. Eager to try other types of work I took engagements on cruise ships which offered up a variety of experiences. I was a production vocalist in shows, support act to visiting headline artistes and had my own show in the piano bar.

Ready to get back on dry land, I returned to the UK and worked with various function bands. I played Christmas and New Year residencies at the Scandic Crown Hotel, London, and gigged all over the place even up to Scotland. I still wanted to try other things and formed a duo with a Jazz pianist and then devised my own show of Songs from the Shows which I took to various venues.

Whilst I now have a busy life being a Mum of three, I have kept my love of singing. I like to think that my experience of singing such a variety of styles over the years brings something interesting to the Iconix.
